Padsplit
PadSplit is the largest coliving marketplace in the U.S. They offer affordable room rental services specifically tailored for hardworking people like teachers, security guards, bus drivers, and retail employees who are looking to build their futures.

The goal: Surviving COVID While Growing 10X
When Anil Yasyerli, founder and CEO of Brite, joined PadSplit as their first Head of Marketing in late 2019, PadSplit was under $1M ARR with a great value proposition (turning single-family homes into room rentals). Then COVID hit in March 2020, just 3 months after.
PadSplit’s entire value prop depended on its ability to convince 6-8 people to co-live. Demand tanked with COVID-19. On top of pandemic headwinds, PadSplit’s Series A funding was also delayed.
The solution: Global Talent Arbitrage
Out of desperation, Anil built a marketing team mainly by hiring remote global talent. Two years later, PadSplit had a marketing team of 25, and only three were based in the US. During the same period, PadSplit grew from less than $1M in ARR in 2019 to $10,000,000 in ARR in 2022.
Here is what PadSplit’s founder and CEO, Atticus LeBlanc said about Anil’s time there: “Anil rebuilt our entire marketing organization at PadSplit. In leveraging top-tier talent from overseas, he was really able to stretch our dollars while ensuring that we could accelerate our growth. I highly recommend that any US company looking to augment their digital marketing abilities consider using overseas talent if they want high quality at extremely competitive rates.”
